This position is based in the Gallatin Valley, but candidates must be willing to travel to projects throughout Montana when required.

Job Responsibilities:
As an Equipment Operator for the Civil Construction Division, you will play a key role in supporting site development, utility installation, grading, and infrastructure work across a wide range of projects.
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience operating construction equipment in civil or site development
• Operate heavy construction equipment including excavators, skid steers, loaders, dozers, and compactors
• Perform precise excavation, grading, trenching, and material handling
• Support site development including foundation work, drainage, utilities, and roadwork
• Follow construction plans, grade stakes, and direction from project supervisors
• Coordinate with crews to maintain safe, efficient jobsite operations
• Assist with jobsite logistics including material movement and general support tasks
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
• Identify and report mechanical issues promptly
• Maintain situational awareness around crews, utilities, and underground infrastructure
• Follow OSHA standards and all jobsite safety protocols
• Promote a safe, professional, and productive work environment
• Travel to project sites across Montana and work in varying field conditions
