Martel Construction is seeking experienced Carpenters to join our team for commercial and residential projects within our Bozeman and Big Sky markets. These high-profile projects require skilled craftsman with the ability to deliver precision and quality at every stage of construction. We are primarily interested in experienced carpenters in the realm of concrete, framing, or interior finish. Candidates should possess skill in one or more of the following areas: concrete form carpentry, fine interior finish carpentry, glulam beam fabrication and installation, or custom structural carpentry.
Responsibilities:
• Perform concrete form carpentry for footings, walls, slabs, and structural elements
• Execute fine interior finish carpentry including trim, cabinetry, millwork, doors, and detailed finish installations
• Perform fabrication, layout, and installation of large-scale glulam beams
• Interpret and work accurately from shop drawings and specifications
• Perform precise cuts, joins, and fittings to ensure structural integrity and architectural quality
• Operate carpentry tools, equipment, lifts, and rigging systems safely and effectively
• Work collaboratively with field crews and supervisors to meet project schedules and quality standards
• Maintain compliance with all company safety protocols
Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years of carpentry experience (concrete, framing, heavy timber or glulam preferred)
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, layout, and measurements
• Demonstrated ability with rigging, crane signals and beam placement
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be in good physical condition
