Martel Construction is seeking experienced Interior Finish Carpenters to join our team for commercial and high-end residential projects throughout the Bozeman and Big Sky markets. We're looking for skilled craftsmen who take pride in quality workmanship and attention to detail.
Experience with structural beam installation, heavy timber construction, or wood framing is a plus, but our primary focus is recruiting experienced finish carpenters. You'll have the opportunity to work at Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport, along with a variety of commercial and high-end residential projects throughout the region. This is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career with one of Montana's premier general contractors.
Responsibilities
• Install high-quality interior finishes including trim, doors, cabinetry, architectural millwork, hardware, paneling, and custom woodwork
• Read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, and architectural details
• Perform precise layout, measuring, cutting, fitting, and installation with exceptional attention to detail
• Maintain high standards of craftsmanship while meeting project schedules
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
• Work collaboratively with superintendents, foremen, and fellow craftsmen to deliver quality finished products
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Assist with structural beam placement and specialty carpentry work when project needs require
Qualifications
• Minimum three years of finish carpentry experience
• Demonstrated experience installing trim, millwork, cabinetry, doors, and other architectural finishes
• Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and finish details
• Strong understanding of layout, measurements, and finish tolerances
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation preferred
