The AMS brand stainless steel bucket auger can be used for standard sediment, as well as sand or clay loams. It is an ideal size for geotechnical soil sampling and/or archaeological test excavations. Made in American Falls, Idaho. The entire bucket assembly measures 3.25" diameter by 14" long, with the actual bucket measuring 8" long (including bit). The steel extension measures 48" long. The steel T-handle (cross handle) measures 16" across, with one blue plastic end cap (2nd end cap is missing). The auger bucket threads on to the lower end of the extension. The cross handle threads onto the upper end of the extension. The auger bit is not bent and is in good shape.
This equipment has been used but is in good-to-very-good shape.
