I bought a bunch of these for our family to replace our previous generation Mammut Barryvox Pulse beacons that we used reliably for many years snowmobiling, snowbiking, backcountry skiing, snowshoeing and in several avy classes. We wanted to change to the latest generation now that they have been out for a couple years.
The Mammut Barryvox transceivers have one of the longest search receiving ranges (70 meters / 230feet in typical digital mode and 100 meters / 328feet in analog mode) as well as a lot of features that other brands don't have which is why we are sticking with this brand. These are the Barryvox 'S' version of the Barryvox which is one step higher/more expensive than the plain Barryvox.
I bought these direct from Mammut so guaranteed not to be knockoffs (like some floating around on ebay, etc.)
We ended up with two extra ones so passing these along with the discount. New in box; never opened, never registered. These are the black/orange ones in the pictures.
MSRP is $550 each (so $1,100 for two).
