Responsible, clean, respectful, down-to-earth, full-time Engineer in early 30s currently in North Dakota looking for reasonable housing to move to Bozeman for about 6 months (longer if it’s a good fit - I’m pretty open) so I can get to know the area, starting around the 2nd week in March. I’d prefer to rent or take care of a small house if available, but am also open to just renting a room in a house, apartment, townhouse, condo, casita / guest house, etc. with roommates.
- Private room (targeting <$800 for a room in a shared space, or <$1300 for small house, apartment, condo, etc)
- Quiet in the day time (I work from home)
- High speed internet (nothing crazy - I work remote and anything >75 mbps has been working ok for me)
- Some garage or shed storage (have dirt bike**)
- Parking space (I drive a 1/2 ton truck)
- Some shared or private kitchen space (I like to cook)
- Near the Bozeman / Yellowstone area (including Belgrade, Four Corners, etc.)
**I live light and will keep most of my belongings in a separate storage unit somewhere; however, I do have a dirt bike converting to snow bike, so I’ll need a small space in some kind of garage or storage. I ride in Cooke, but not familiar with Bozeman, so it’d be great to meet some sledders / snow bikers.
I don’t have any animals, but I’m fine with them, don’t have any allergies, and have taken care of plenty in the past (used to own a small homestead).
I’ve been renting a house in Golden and have been doing repairs on it and pet sitting as part of my rent agreement. It’s worked out extremely well and I like the area, but the lease just expired, so I’m currently living in ND until I find something in MT.
I’m very low maintenance and will pitch in to help where needed. I’m no official handyman, but like helping folks and can repair / maintain lots of stuff.
I work 100% remote (thanks to covid...) so will probably be in a room staring at a computer screen and on conference calls for most of the work week (which is why I’d like to be close to mountains or lakes...), and need to have high speed internet and a quiet place to work during the day. Mountain views are a plus. Introverted and not a big partier (ha, I guess I’m a typical engineer...), but I like meeting folks and am easy to get along with. Enjoy being outdoors, hiking, backpacking, coffee, beer, etc. Have had a ton of hobbies and diy stuff in the past, but I live pretty light now.
Please feel free to email me. I’m fine with doing FaceTime or meeting virtually before committing. I occasionally drive through Livingston, so I may be able to meet if I’m visiting MT.
