The coaxial midrange unit sounds wonderfully homogeneous, with excellent dynamic range and ample headroom. The bass extends very deep and is subtly noticeable; the sound reproduction always demonstrated an unobtrusive yet almost tangible imaging. The Genelec itself remains in the background, putting the recording in the foreground, like a butler for the music – always discreet, always present, delivering everything at the highest level.
