This contract position is for an Associate Photographer. The Associate Photographer should be confident in leading photoshoots and will be scheduled for regular or occasional sessions in the Big Sky area, with occasional assignments in nearby locations. This role is perfect for someone seeking flexible, additional income—take on as many or as few shoots as your schedule allows.
About Us:
We are a small, independent, female-owned brand based in Big Sky, and we’re excited to welcome a third team member to the mix! You’ll be joining an ambitious team of two: our Founder and Owner, who also serves as the Lead Photographer, and another Associate who has been part of the team for the past year.
Qualifications:
- Experience in portrait photography with a portfolio that demonstrates your work
- Ability to both assist on shoots and confidently lead them—including posing, directing, and taking initiative
- Strong people skills and the ability to make clients of all ages, backgrounds, and identities (including families, couples, and individuals) feel comfortable
- Reliable transportation, as most shoots take place in Big Sky and other surrounding areas
- Strong attention to detail and a creative eye
- Proficiency with your own photography equipment
- Must be available on weekends and around holidays- these are our busiest dates!
- A fun-loving personality and someone who enjoys late-night cocktails! ;)
Additional Optional but Desired Skills:
- Experience working with upscale clientele
- Genuine interest in the long-term growth of the brand and commitment to the Team
Duties:
- Capture, cull, and deliver RAW files to Lead Photographer from assigned sessions
- No editing is required
