Adventures Outfitting is seeking experienced, personable Horse Wranglers/Trail Guides to join our team for the 2026 summer season. This seasonal position runs from mid-June through September 7 (Labor Day week).
We are looking for individuals with exceptional horsemanship skills who are confident riding young or inexperienced horses. Ideal candidates are passionate about horses, the outdoors, and hospitality—and are committed to delivering an outstanding guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead guest trail rides across multiple exclusive properties in the Big Sky, MT area
• Ride and assist in developing young or unseasoned trail horses
• Safely handle and manage multiple horses at one time
• Assist with occasional overnight camp trips
• Provide professional, friendly, and informative service to guests
• Ensure the safety and well-being of both guests and horses at all times
• Remain calm and solutions-oriented in high-pressure situations
Requirements
• Extensive horse experience required; prior trail guide experience strongly preferred
• Confident riding at the walk, trot, and canter in western tack
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
• Valid driver’s license required; experience hauling horse trailers is a plus
• Comfortable working outdoors in a physically demanding environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with diverse personalities

Additional Information
• Location: Big Sky, MT (Bozeman/Big Sky area candidates preferred)
• Housing: Limited housing may be available in Belgrade; most guides live in Bozeman and carpool
• Compensation: Competitive pay, generous tips, and an end-of-season bonus

English riders are welcome; however, candidates must be comfortable saddling and riding in western tack.
Qualified applicants will first participate in a phone or Zoom interview. Final candidates will complete an in-person riding evaluation. If you are not local, detailed riding videos and references may be submitted in lieu of an in-person evaluation.
