Cedar Ridge Equine offers several dates for horsemanship clinics for youth of all ages available for beginner to advanced riders. In all of our clinics, we believe it is important to teach life skill development and personal growth as an intricate component of our horsemanship program. After conducting several educational studies on life skill development through the use of horses, we found it most effective to teach about responsibility, relationships, communication, leadership, and team work through horse safety and care; haltering, tying and leading a horse; horse behavior observation and horse anatomy; and on-the-ground horsemanship. Participants will spend time in the saddle, working on the ground with the horses and will participate in daily take home equine crafts and journaling activities. We strive to provide a safe, fun and educational environment for all riders and horses. If you do not own a horse, not a problem, we provide safe, sane, reliable lesson horses. 20 plus years of instruction and training experience.
