$125 for females (only 1 left
Located at the Birdsong Ranch near Hudson
We are selling a few surplus breeding quality male and female Alpine milk-goat babies.
We have two males right now and we want to find them new homes PDQ! These are really big boys!
We may have some females to sell also. Please call or text for more info.
These are baby full size Alpine milk goat kids, NOT dwarf or miniature goats.
They will be big. The buck father is very big - almost 300 lbs.
They will make excellent pack goats or milk goats.
All from full sized high quantity milk producing parents. Only $100 each for males. These are breeding quality for milk goats or pack goats, or we will band (castrate) the males if so desired. Kids like this are worth a few hundred dollars each at least, but our loss is your gain! We want them gone, there's more coming that are not sold yet. They are all excellent potential pack goats and milk goats, or pets or weed control too. Normally we band (castrate) the males but we have some intact at this time if you are looking for a breeding quality buckling.
Gentle and sweet bottle-fed babies ready for a new home. They go fast so please let us know a.s.a.p.
They will need to be bottle fed 12 oz each 3x daily until they are 4 weeks old, and then 2x daily until 2 - 3 months old. Milk replacer can be purchased online at Murdocks: http://www.murdochs.com/shop/land-o-lakes-does-match-premium-blend-kid-milk-replacer/ or an equivalent product is available locally at the livestock stores (All Species Milk Replacer)
These are commercial grade quality, unregistered Alpine baby goats. They are all from very good milk producing lines. We do not have papers on the mothers. The father is a registered very large purebred Alpine, but we don't have his papers either. The mothers are large Alpine “grade” quality milk does. They are all adorable as babies, but they will grow up to be full sized goats, about 150 lbs. or more for the females. maybe 250 lbs for the males! Please see photos of some of the mamas and our buck.
NOTE: Goats need to be part of a herd (at least two goats together), but they will bond with other animals besides goats. They do need serious fencing - just barbed wire won't do it. They need to be protected from predators, including dogs, and they need outdoor shelter, feed twice a day and clean water always. They will winter outdoors just fine if desired, as long as they have some open-air shelter from snow and wind, and you don't bring them indoors (either in or out - back and forth creates pneumonia conditions). They can't just be chained up, they need a safe pen of their own, with room to run and jump and play.
The photos are the current baby goats from our herd, but some are being sold and some are being born, so the photos are just representative.
