Bozeman Field School is a small, independent, non-profit high school in Bozeman, Montana offering place-based, experiential curriculum. We seek an instructor to teach an Introductory Robotics elective course following a curriculum outline that will be provided by the Bozeman Field School. This is a part-time position that will average three hours per week (two ninety minute periods, either M/F 1:45-3:15 or T/Th 1:45-3:15) from October 14, 2019 – December 18, 2019. This course will not meet the week of October 28 - November 1, 2019.
Teach one section of Introductory Robotics
Provide quarterly comments for student progress reports
Essential Qualifications & Qualities:
Familiarity with the following robotics concepts:
historical background, locomotion, articulation, kinematics, sensors, actuators, motors and batteries, mechanical transformations, and languages for robots.
Highly organized, attentive to detail, and proactive
Flexibility, humor, and good-nature
Ability to communicate and give feedback to students and co-workers
Desired Qualifications & Qualities:
Experience teaching robotics
Experience teaching at the high school level
Teaching credential and/or Master’s Degree or higher
