2 owner Land Rover Disco 2. Family friend bought it off the boat from UK back in 98’. Fueled many adventures in its 128K miles. Starts and runs but has recently been having a frequent drivability issue where she loses power and bogs down, especially at highway speeds. Took to Auto Works in four corners (they specialize in European) and found cracked left side exhaust manifold (see red circle in pic).. Quoted repair cost $1200. Just got a new truck so have no reason to spend the cash to fix this British Beauty. If you are looking for a reliable daily driver, look elsewhere. She should make it to her new home in Bozeman or close by but I would not plan any road trips until the manifold is replaced. This is a perfect project for someone capable of replacing an exhaust manifold. Also the fuel light goes on and off and fuel level gauge is inconsistent, likely due to fuel level sensor failure so you’ll have to determine fill ups by mileage.

The good: just replaced alternator and MAF sensor. In June 2023 coolant, transmission fluid checked and are good. Diffs, Tcase and brake fluid replaced then. Other than the 2 previously mentioned issues, all mechanical components are well maintained and low mileage for age. The interior is in excellent shape, front seats have always been covered. Roof rack. 6 disc CD changer under passenger seat. With the third row safari seats it will seat 7 when the middle row is installed. Currently equipped with a sleeping/camping platform in the back. Custom reflectix window covers for all windows except the windshield.
Kelley blue book value of $3700 minus exhaust manifold repair cost ($1200) leaves the value at $2500.
