Vehicle History and Upgrades for Regular Use:
This Humvee came from a military base in Georgia in 2022 as demilitarized and non-running. Blown engine and parted out (demilitarized). Since then, plenty of work has been done to upgrade it for regular use and make it road worthy.
Main upgrades: All 12-volt converted, a fresh 4l80e transmission rebuild by me. Shift mods and dual feed done for heavy off-road use. New torque converter, a redone transfer case and a new front driveshaft. All new axle shafts have been put in and all the portal hubs have been checked. All fluids have been changed in the last 1000 miles. Good military mud terrain tires with run-flats in. (I assume they are in due to the rugged nature of the ride) The LS 6.0 V8 came from a approx. 2002 Chevy / GMC 2500 with an unknown mileage. The engine has a Fitech fuel injection stand-alone system and a detachable programmer to change all parameters for the drivetrain and check codes. Headers and full holley accessory drive kit in place. Holley alternator, AC compressor, power steering, ect. Installed new rear brakes and calipers. All new mirrors, windshields, reflectors, and LED lights for enhanced visibility. New canvas aftermarket cab. Has no radio or frills, just all truck!
Known issues: The tachometer and speedometer are cracked. The latter needs to be adequately programmed to correct road speed. The frame has some surface rust however it does not affect the strength or ruggedness of the truck. A simple clean and repaint of the frame is advised. The vehicle has a key for ignition and a master disconnect switch for security and extended storage, again a battery draw in the Fitech system. Not a big deal if drove often. If parked for a couple weeks the NEW battery goes dead if master is left on.
-I have 4 plastic totes of spare parts and good OEM parts to go with it. 24v alternator, starter, body mounts, replacement variable rate springs, ect.
Why I'm Selling:
I adore this vehicle, really don't want to see it go. I get a complement or thumbs up/ smiles nearly every time I drive it. With all that said I have too many cars and don't drive this one enough to justify keeping it. I call it "Humvee Dumpty" since it was a lot of "putting together" from a non-running Marine Corps Humvee to an awesome aggressive truck. I have a hard time letting it go, but it's best to let someone else (you) use and enjoy this truly versatile truck.
Absolutely firm on the price as I have way way more than that in parts/original purchase alone and not counting any labor. No way it can be built yourself cheaper as I am selling as a significant loss.
Call only! I will not respond to text. If you can't call and talk I assume you are not serious or a scammer. I don't need help selling nor do I want to trade.
