I purchased this suede/leather, Pioneer Wear, men's coat (size Large) brand new in 1996. Subsequently, I wore it only a couple of times. Ever since, it has remained stored in the clothe closet; thus, it is still in like-new condition.
This coat has a removable collar (see photos) that is secured by three hidden snap-buttons and five elastic loops over sewn-buttons. In addition, inside the coat there is (1) a waist drawn-cord for adjusting the fit and (2) two chest pockets (one of which has a zipper-closure to secure valuables). In front, there is a full-length zippered closure that is protected by a button-down storm flap.
Note: Please be aware that the top collar button is missing (see photo with arrow).
Overall, this is an elegant vintage coat that is comfortably designed, and it will keep you warm over a wide range of conditions.
Size is Men's Large.

For your information,
Pioneer Wear was an Albuquerque based clothing company that made products in the New Mexico region. As the name implies, the company's clothing was inspired by vintage and old Western designs. Their coats, vests, and hooded jackets tend to be made of thick materials and are decorated with Southwestern designs and fringes.
How long was the Pioneer Wear brand active?
Pioneer Wear is no longer active or manufacturing new jackets. The company mostly created and sold outwear during the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. Since the company is no longer producing clothing, fans of their coats and jackets will have to find vintage items.
