Custom Made Oak Hall Doctoral Gown Hood and Tam. Oak Hall is renowned for its custom regalia and praised for the quality of the materials it uses as well as their finished garments. This gown is their Jefferson model and is 53 inches long and the width of the gown will fit almost every body type. As pictures will indicate, the gown features the three velvet bars/chevrons on the sleeves and wider bars that run down the front of the gown--all indicative of PhD status. Gold piping has been added for increased effect.
The hood is highlighted in the dark blue velvet representative of universal PhD standing NOT a particular academic subject. The satin in the hood is yellow and white, which may be appropriate for MSU graduates. The regalia comes with a six sided tam with the traditional burnished two button gold tassel also indicative of PhD status.
