Black and Blue is an original design and art project. Powered by a throttle assisted 1000w rear hub electro-magnetic drive, this bike has climbed all of the steepest roads in Big Sky without pedaling. In fact all of my e-creations don't have pedals. And they don't have a crank, gears, shifters, or derailleurs. And, of course, they are totally off-the-chain! And they all have wood core frames for structural superiority and unique esthetics. All bikes are built with seats lower than conventional bikes making them exceptionally maneuverable and without the need for "pedal stroke". No pedals.
Black & Blue sports a sweet, black with blue rainbow holographic wrap, matching blue anodized RaceFace handlebars, headset, stem, stem spacers, 4-Piston fully hydraulic disc brakes with 203mm floating rotors. It has a black metallic banana seat, blue fenders, and foot pegs. Booted up with black & blue marbled "Snakeskin2" 26x2.125 tires on a hard-to-find black front 3-spoke mag wheel and mounted on a factory painted blue front suspension fork. This is the only one of its kind making it a unique, custom commuter and e-venturing machine.
Top speed is 25 mph. 48v 13aH battery goes at full throttle for an hour of climbing or cruising and takes about 6 hours to recharge. I recommend a 2nd battery if you are planning on longer rides. I sell them for $250 each and they change out on the bike very simply and quick.
These bikes are not allowed on bike paths that have a No Motor Vehicles sign. And I recommend staying off trails that are populated with joggers, kids in strollers, dogs off and on the leash, and other bikes. They beauty of this bike type is that you can go just about anywhere else and enjoy the freedom of riding and e-venturing.
Send me an email if you have questions and we can schedule a showing and test ride in the Four Corners area in Bozeman.
The eVolution of bicycling is right here. But you are going to have to pedal faster to keep up!
